Privacy and limits
AI requests go through our server to OpenRouter. Photos are resized and are not saved by this plugin. Three successful AI requests per signed-in account per tool per day. No human review is included.

How to use this Chinese name generator
- Choose your task before entering a name. Natural naming and sound-based translation solve different problems; an existing name should be explained without replacing its characters.
- Add a little context: a meaning you like, pronunciation preferences or how you plan to use the name. Review the suggestions, tone-mark pinyin and cautions together.
- Keep the explanation as a printable report or send a chosen name to the name-art editor. Check the final characters before important or permanent use.
A useful starting point
Someone called Emma may want either an established sound-based Chinese rendering or a new name that feels natural in Chinese. Those outputs should be clearly distinguished. A Chinese name can also have several interpretations rather than a single exact English equivalent.
Suggestions are generated by AI without native-speaker review. Personal preference, dialect, family naming conventions and the context in which you use a name may affect its suitability. This tool does not name a legal identity or certify a translation.
Questions before you start
What is my name in Chinese?
Choose “Translate my name by sound” for a sound-based rendering. Choose “Suggest a natural Chinese name” if you want a new Chinese personal name inspired by your preferences. These are different kinds of result.
Is this Chinese name generator free?
Signed-in accounts have a limited daily AI allowance. A successful request can return name suggestions with explanations; failed or incomplete results preserve the allowance. Local name-art editing is free.
Can I check what my Chinese name means?
Choose “Explain my existing Chinese name” and paste its exact characters. The tool explains the supplied wording rather than silently replacing it with another name.
Can I put the name on a gift or tattoo?
You can design a name card or artwork after reviewing the characters. AI suggestions are not tattoo approval; confirm the wording independently before permanent or important use.
