How to read our guides
Our material includes source-based research. An author name or an illustrative photograph does not mean that the author personally tested a journey, app or service. A guide should state when it is based on first-hand testing and explain the limits of that test.
Review dates describe when a page was checked; they do not guarantee that a rule, price or timetable will stay the same. Before travelling, confirm time-sensitive details with the responsible authority or operator linked in the guide.
Our editorial standards explain how new and substantially updated guides should be prepared. Read the image and evidence policy and affiliate disclosure for the limits of illustrations and commercial links.
